EU shipping temporarily paused.

Shipping to the EU is temporarily paused

As of today, we’ve temporarily stopped shipping to the European Union. On November 1, 2026, new EU customs rules take effect for all orders shipped from outside the EU to customers in Europe. We want to make sure your order arrives without surprise fees or customs delays, so we’re taking the time to get this right.

What’s changing in the EU

  • Customs duties on every order. Since July 1, a €3 customs duty applies to each type of item in a parcel, even for small orders that used to enter duty-free.
  • A new €2 handling fee. Starting November 1, EU customs adds a €2 handling fee per item type, on top of the duty and VAT.
  • New product information requirements. Starting November 1, every product in a parcel must be declared with specific product identifiers, or the parcel can be delayed or refused at customs.

For full details, see the European Commission’s official guidance on low-value imports.

Why we’ve paused

Right now, our checkout can’t collect VAT and customs duties when you place your order. If we shipped under the new rules, you’d have to pay these charges to the carrier before your parcel could be delivered. We don’t think that’s fair to you.

We also need to add the required customs information to every product in our catalogue. This is a big job and will take some time to complete properly.

Still want to order? Use a freight forwarder

While EU shipping is paused, you can still order from us using a freight forwarder. A freight forwarder is a company that gives you a shipping address in Canada. They receive your parcel and send it on to you in Europe.

How it works:

  1. Sign up with a freight forwarder that offers a Canadian address.
  2. At checkout, enter the forwarder’s Canadian address as your shipping address.
  3. We ship your order to the forwarder, and they send it to you.

Please note:

  • You’ll pay the forwarder’s fees. Forwarders charge for their service and for shipping to Europe, so compare a few before choosing.
  • You’ll pay EU charges on delivery. Customs duties, the handling fee and VAT still apply when your parcel enters the EU. You’ll pay these to the forwarder or the carrier.
  • Our responsibility ends at the forwarder. Once the forwarder confirms delivery of your order, we’re no longer responsible for it. Delays, damage or loss after that point have to be handled with the forwarder.
  • Returns must ship from the forwarder’s address. Any return goes back through the forwarder, at your cost.

What happens to your order

If you have a pre-order or pending order to an EU address, it’s safe. We’re holding it at our warehouse and will ship it once our new system is in place or the rules change.

We’ll be working on this throughout November and will keep you updated by email as soon as we have a timeline.

Want to cancel instead?

No problem. Just contact us at info@topcollectibles.ca with your order number and we’ll cancel it. We’re waiving the cancellation fee for all affected EU orders.

Thank you for your patience and for supporting us. We can’t wait to ship to Europe again.
